Inspired by a recent Warren Ellis post, I thought I'd go ahead and compile my absolute favorite TV title sequences of all time.
NOTE: I don't mean my favorite shows. You'll see some conspicuous absences here if you expect that. I mean my favorite title sequences. Also, you all know Firefly. I don't need to put that one up. Alright, then.
The Prisoner:
Weirdest fucking show I've ever seen. And I grew up on The Twilight Zone and The X-Files. My threshold for "weird" is incredibly high, and I say this show was freaking bizarre.
Carnivale:
Just watch it. You'll see.
Dexter:
The morning routine of a serial killer. Kinda actually disturbing.
Doctor Who (Tom Baker era):
My favorite version of the theme song, with neat time tunnel effects, and Tom Baker's vaguely alien mug peering out at you? Best. Sequence. Ever. And after that came the Eighties, and soon the advent of Sylvester McCoy's winking head. *shudder*
Cowboy Bebop:
Yoko Kanno is brilliant, Cowboy Bebop is the best anime series ever, do I need to say more?
Batman The Animated Series:
Best. Cartoon. Ever. You will not argue this. You cannot argue this. Watch the goddamn opening sequence and tell me that's not the best cartoon ever. See? You can't. *feels really, really sorry for the kids who are going to grow up having watched The Batman instead of this*
That's it for now. May add more later. Am I forgetting anything really obvious? Ah well.

And I agree about "The Batman". So bad.
